Duties & Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in the safe and effective operation of various heavy equipment, including but not limited to mini excavators, bulldozer, loaders and backhoes.
  • Deliver hands-on training sessions, ensuring students gain practical experience.
  • Provide classroom instruction on safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and operational techniques.
  • Evaluate student performance through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining materials to reflect current industry standards and best practices.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in teaching real estate courses with proven passing rates on the North Carolina Real Estate Exam.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment safety procedures and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to students of varying skill levels.
  • Patience, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Certification in heavy equipment operation or instruction are a plus.
